Never before in the history of the Motor Transport Awards, a truck was voted "Fleet Truck of the Year" for three consecutive years. Furthermore, it is the 10th time that the CF85 or one of its predecessors has won the "Fleet Truck of the Year" accolade.

Ray Ashworth, managing director of DAF Trucks UK received the trophy in front of 1,400 leading figures from the industry at a presentation dinner in London on Tuesday July 13.
- We are proud that the DAF CF85 has earned this important industry award. Everyone in our industry and throughout the DAF team recognizes the significance of this award since it is an accolade from the fleet operators themselves, said Ray Ashworth.

- To win in 2008, 2009 and 2010 - three of the most challenging years the UK transport industry has ever experienced - underlines the value of this award. It highlights the exceptional fuel economy and overall efficiency of the CF85, together with the outstanding in-service support provided by our nationwide network of dedicated dealers, said Ashworth.
In the 24 years since Motor Transport introduced these awards, no truck has won the vehicle award three years in a row.
